We met the guys at the marina for 2am (Stupid 'O' Clock), for a 2:30am lock out. We locked out and headed offshore for the first mark of the day. We got to the mark and started to fish straight away. Almost immediately we had our first few fish of the day Cod. A few smaller ones were brought aboard which were in size, but the guys returned them. Then a nice knock and fight resulted in a nice 7lber. We decided to move to another mark to fish. Again small codling were brought aboard, with Pollack, Ling, Pouting, Poor Cod etc. Just as we were about to head to our smoothound mark, Micky hooked a nice 7lb 8oz Cod. With this in the bag we moved to the new mark. Baits were prepared and dropped over the side. It didnt take long for the first smoothie of the day to be landed. After this plenty more were brought aboard, aswell as other species. 15 Smoothies were landed in total to go with the dozen Cod we had caught.
Good day with a good bunch of lads, Plenty of Banter.

bit of a pain at the mo in places , now lots of mackrel showing so not a bad bit of fishing out there to be had

Report on-board High Flyer 2
Todays trip started with a strong tide leaving us little choice but to drift to find those patchy makerel in the deep water weres theres a bit of clarity, resulted in a few coming aboard. The forcast of light varible winds was totally wrong and a very strong southerly blew up making us head in to sheltered waters behind Scroby Turbines. Started well with a lovely double smoothound pair pictured here with husband and wife,Derek and Angela hooking almost at the same time, wont mention Angelas was bigger! One small bass to Ian nice to see and couple of flatties to add. Beaten again by the tide turning and the waves making things uncomfotable headed in to a Hemsby Hole for a few flats and tiny dogs, again having to move up to outer harbour to beat the waves! What a day! thanks to Derek for organizing,Angela,Dave Mills,Dave,Ian,Den,John, and newcomers Keith and Jack. Think we made the best of a bad day, well done to you all. Many thanks. Jon.

A massive thank-you to Dave and Dee on Atlanta for such a good day out on Saturday - even managed to fix the weather.
We took the kids for a trip out and had Pollack, Conger and (at last) a cracking run of Bream.

The plan was to head down towards the rough ground off Prestatyn and fish for Smoothound and Bass mainly due to the sw wind which was forecast to freshen as the tide was rising.
The fishing got off to a flying start with a smoothie for Tony first drop ,he then followed that up with a small Bass, the smoothies kept coming at a steady rate over the next hour and a half with over 20 coming to the boat,we also had a small tope and a hand full of Mackeral .
We had to cut the trip short by half an hour due to the wind but this did allow us to watch some of the airshow on the way in through the spray which was being thrown up by the wind .
look forward to seeing the RSG onboard Supreme again soon
