Summer...................... What Summer!!!!!!!!!!
View Boats Page
Cancelled trips have ruled the diary of late unfortunately, with the last two days a world apart!
yesterday saw Weymouth well and truly drowned and today basked in sunshine. Crazy eh!!!!!
Down to the fishing....... the inshore fishing has been growing from strength to strength with Plaice fishing continuing to prove astonishing. Many many fish have been landed over 4lb and most days feature fish between 5-6lb. Where else can you experience Plaice fishing like it?!
The shambles continues to produce decent turbot and increasing numbers of Brill, bream numbers begin to improve at anchor along with Gurnards, Undulate Rays, conger, huss and decent Tope to 50lb+.
Cod have proved an added bonus on inshore trips on the ledges around Portland!
The wreck fishing seems to be tailing off slightly now but there are still some decent Cod and Pollack to be had.
The next month see's the olympic sailing events descend on Weymouth but the fishing for many will continue as normal.
Yet again thanks to all for continued support to the Weymouth fleet.

Although it p'd down with rain, the winds were light and we ventured to a spot I havent fished for a while and what a day it turned out to be...with 3 new PB's for Ernie and Dave.
Bites were plentiful and the fish kept coming and we ended the day with 17 Thornbacks to 11lb (most of which were returned to fight another day), 8 Smoothounds, 2 Bass (both PB's for Ernie and Dave), some Whiting and Doggies. Cracking day chaps, thank you for your continued custom.

Had a fantastic weeks fishing with a great bunch of guys caught some cracking fish even though the weather wasn't very kind to us at the beggining, there was a bit of swell but it never stopped us in our tracks, there was a variety of rods and reels used with Mackerel bait but the jigging rods went down without bait and done the same job brought up some monster fish... we caught 15 species over a period of time, some PB for the guys.

strange weather on the day, after leaving the harbour a lot of drift wood and dirty water around the harbour, very large swells, it was kind of strange being out in the fog. The captain took the wreck fishing, his local knowledge was very good, and his lad John was very helpful. Due to the very large tide the fishing was slow, we lost a lot of gear, but thats just fishing. we had a new lad on the fishing boat John Whiteing his first time out on a boat in 20 years, captain looked after him , well done captain,Cod and Ling caught on the day some nice fish, thanks captain for a good day, your a bit tight with your brews

Full day- Picked up some more customers and got back out to a favourite spot that did not dissapoint, as per usual rods went in kettle went on and the first tope decides to make a dash with the bait- not long later photos of the first tope landed were being taken and the rods are all reset, in total 9 tope landed today and all good fish, some good fighters amongst them too... really nice bunch of customers today who all really enjoyed themselves, good weather made for calm seas.
