    Report on-board Amino

Out today with Mark and 4 others on their first trip on board Amino.

With the weather finally behaving itself, we headed out on a flat calm sea and anchored up and had fish from the off and steadily throughout the day.

Ended up with around a dozen Smoothound, biggest of the day went 15lb 8oz, couple arouind the 10lb mark and the rest around 5-6lb. Also had 7 Thornbacks upto 6lb but we lost a couple of much bigger fish, loadsa Doggies and a single small Tope.

We were catching Cod at this particular mark a few weeks back, but given that we are now mid June, it was unlikely we would see any and that was the case! :-(

    Latest from Ocean Warrior 3

June has started well with some nice Cod and Pollack showing on the wrecks, with the biggest this week from Mick Toomber with his at 21lb.

Although, when the weather has not been so kind the inshore fishing has been good too with some nice Plaice and Black Bream coming up.

Here's hoping for some good summer weather and some great fish to come...

    Report on-board Sunbeam III

Sat 16th June- Full Day, Full Boat - Left the quay just before 7 This morning although the wind was blowing it wasn't bad at sea.... Went to a faithful spot and got anchored up, Kettle went on - First Tope- 35lb Nice fish- Not long after 2nd Tope landed, Bit bigger around 40-45lb and put up a good fight... And a first for the boat - Tope on Mackerel Feathers!!! One of the customers started to reel in what he thought to just be a mackerel to which he then found the line got a lot heavier and said said Mackerel had become alot more aggressive - we can only assume that said Mackerel was then Lunch for a hungry Tope - Unfortunately the mackerel feathers would not land a Tope, and the fish was lost however we have never seen this before!!!!
We then decided to move in shore to calmer waters for a more comfertable end to the day and landed a good lot of mackerel. Really good day had by all.

    Report on-board Mistress

    Whitbyseaanglers.co.uk/forum - Forum Competition

Luckily there was a break in the weather to get the long awaited and anticipated trip in, conditions started fine, and deteriorated through the day, conditions were perfect for teasing a big fish out with very little drift all day.
All the lads fished hard and caught plenty, and Im sure they enjoyed their day.

On Mistress we saw plenty of fish which were of good stamp, and a wolf fish which was a bit of a rarity, but good to see all the same. I didnt picture all the good fish we had onboard, as there would have been loads of photos!. A massive well done to all who fished, and also a big thank you to all involved for your continued support.

Pictured Andy Peat with his two best fish of the day.
