    Report on-board Lead Us

Went out with Colin for the first time today. What a great friendly skipper, took us to the area where they had been catching all week, and sure enough first cast and into fish.
We were inundated with Whiting and between the 4 of us on the boat must have landed well over 70 and we're not talking tiddlers either biggest went 41cm in length and most were around the 30cm + size.
I also landed my personal best Smooth hound which went 8lb four others were also caught best being 8lb 9oz.
Also a Bass just over 2lb.
A cracking day's fishing and would highly recommend.

Cheers Colin and see you again soon.

    Report on-board Supreme

Chatered Steve's boat Supreme on Sunday 25th September 2011. Should have been a 10 hour trip but because of weather conditions we could only do 5 hours. great Skipper and a great boat. fastest boat in Rhyl, get you to the fishing marks very quick.

Steve can provide you with everything you need i.e. tackle, bait feathers, hooks etc. He also served up tea and coffee in clean mugs and Cornish Pasties. Alternatively you can take your own which can be heated up. I am going to take a pan of stew on our next trip. If you are new to Sea fishing, Steve is your man, very helpful with beginners. We caught a selection of fish, well over the 100 mark.

    WELL DONE STEVE

    Report on-board Discovery

24/09/11 top of the trent club
We left the marina at 9.0am the forecast was not to good but the lads wanted a shot at one of the wrecks for conger,i explained that it would be lumpy and we might be better in the river ,the lads had a vote and readied there wrecking rigs. When we had reached the Bar Racon i explained that we would not be able to go the distance we had wanted to so we picked a couple of nearer marks placing us only 20 miles from the marina,We started the 1st drift with everybody ready but the boat was was rocking a bit to much for some who immediately fell ill, darren caught a pollack about 4lb some smaall guarnard where picked up plus a poor cod.we had another couple of drifts and decided that the wind was becoming stronger it was now 22 kts SW.So we picked another wreck nearer home and heade for that when we got there we decided to fish for mackerel,we caught 6 and headed back into the river with the plan to fish for thornback rays.we eventually dropped anchor in the river 1 hr before slack water and bagged thorn back rays, whiting dabs dogfish etc every body caught fish even though we had wind recorded at 28kts

    September

What a month of fishing we have had. The late summer festival taking place this month
saw all the Whitby fleet trying hard for the biggun!
Athough we never won the competition we got our name up on the daily board on a number of occations again, getting the anglers daily prizes.
This month the fishing has been fantastic seeing many double figure fish aboard the Mistress.
We have have seen many double figure Ling upto 17 lb 8 oz, Cod upto 12 lb, and a new Mistress best Pollack of 15 lb, which is a great fish for this coast.
A massive well done to all the anglers taking part in the festival this month.

Pictured is Lee Harris with the 15 lb Pollack
