The fishing has been very good at the moment, with some nice big Tope showing, alonst alot of smaller one's.
I've done a couple of Bass charters on the banks, with good results. The mid channel marks are produce good bags of Cod and Pollock, the fish are in prime condition and mostly double figure fish. Its all looking very good,"long may it last"!!

    Report on-board Trojan Warrior

Pity the weather has turned sour this mid week, Warrior has seen some fine fish decked for the previous fortnight, with some calm sunny days to add to the pleasure.Forecast looking a bit more promising for the weekend if the swell does not grow.

JENNY GETS A BIG ONE ON FLAMER III - 59 year old Jenny Foley on her very first wrecking trip landed her dream catch a 20Ib cod and on the very first drift of the day.Jenny struggled to pull the big cod up from a depth of 200 feet.Jenny was using 15Ib class tackle with a flying collar rig and a rhubarb and custard sidewinder lure.As you expect Jenny was over the moon with her catch. She also caught several pollack during her day out.Jenny's catch was just part of a good cod, ling and pollack catch on Flamer III on June 4th 2010.

  • 04/06/2010 Fishing Report by Paul Fitch on She Likes It Rough 2 (Shotley, Suffolk)

4 Jun 2010 by Paul Fitch

Report on-board She Likes It Rough 2

    FRI 4TH/SAT 5TH JUNE

Friday saw an individuals trip out to the wrecks. Over 40 cod were landed with the biggest falling to Robin Turpin with a fish of 13lb 8oz. The fish are still of real good quality but unfortunately are not on all the wrecks out there. Again the uncharted wrecks produced all the fish but a nice surprise today was a bass of 7lb 6oz for Ian. Which is unusual, as we don’t see bass on the wrecks till a bit later in the month.
Saturday’s trip again was out to the distant wrecks. Much the same as Friday really for the party of five, best fish was a tad smaller than yesterday at 13lb landed by Tony Gossage but the quality was superb again with 10-15 low doubles again. A small Ling of 6lb was also caught today. Pollock seemed to have disappeared for a bit we only landed a couple over the weekend but normally put in an appearance again a bit later in the year.

  • 05/06/2010 Fishing Report by Dave Hunkin on Bessie Vee (Mevagissey, Cornwall)

5 Jun 2010 by Dave Hunkin

    Report on-board Bessie Vee

A weekend of very slack tides enabled us to go for a 30 mile wreck trip looking for some ling. Managed to land 25, the best of which was 22lb, and returned 23 congers for the day, the best of which made 35lb.
On Sunday, we did a 20 mile trip, where we found less ling, but still managed a dozen, though they were smaller - up to 12lb. Made up for that with congers, however - caught and released over 50, the best of which came in at 43lb. Top angler landed 12 conger & 3 ling for the day. Very satisfactory!
