  • 23/06/2019 Fishing Report by Peter Mackintosh on Mistress (Tyne, Tyne and Wear)

23 Jun 2019 by Peter Mackintosh

    Report on-board Mistress

Mistress regulars Dennis and Freddie were amongst the fish again today. Freddie landing the best fish of the day, a Ling about the 11lb mark, shortly afterwards he followed up with a couple of decent cod. Dennis had a nice brace of cod around the 7lb mark. Matt, up again from Peterborough, had a good session fishing for mackerel, taking a couple of dozen before switching to cod rig's and landing some decent specimens himself. It was good to see mackerel finally turning up in numbers, a sure sign that the bigger Ling and Cod will be not far away. Thanks Tony for another great days fishing.

    Report on-board High Flyer 2

Sat 22nd June 2019 bit of a lumpy day to start with a south easterly wind against tide. Bit slow to start with catching mid flood but started getting some decent whiting and odd spotty dog as tide eased. Had to fish inside due to the weather, but wall to wall sunshine despite the wind, sum red faces end of day. Few nice smoothounds turned up for us picture today of Attila from London with best fish of the day, many thanks for the trip guys bit of a slow fishing day to be honest but for the weather i thought we done well. Look forward to seeing you guys again at some point. Many thanks . Jon (High Flyer 2)

    Report on-board Duke IV

The Smoothound fishing is really picking up with plenty of Hounds to our live prawns. Also coming aboard are Mackerel and Skate the later coming to herring. More Bass are showing with plenty of small fish bait. More large Bass showing lately with shore anglers doing well on the lures. Good prospects around so come along with Mackerel numbers increasing. Pic shows Az with one of the better size Hounds

  • 19/06/2019 Fishing Report by Rich Ward on Shy-Torque III (Whitby, North Yorkshire)

19 Jun 2019 by Rich Ward

    Report on-board Shy-Torque III

Steve, Jig and Dylan chartered the boat for 2 days on Tuesday and Wednesday and had a lovely couple of days both with the weather and with the fishing.

A proper mix of species for the lads including Lemon Sole, Herring and Haddock. The usual Cod and Ling were plentiful too.

Jig had a nice double hook up of cod on the baited rig and Steve took several Haddock on the bait too. Young Fergus Powell fished with us too and took Haddock on the small Sidewinders himself.

The lads will be back again next year for their annual two day trip.

    Jig is pictured inset.

Summer competition starts this Saturday. £5000.00 1st prize!! Come and have a go. Great fun for one and all !!

    Tight lines
