Richard Ing from Plymouth landed his Personal Best Brill weighing 7Ib 9oz and to his credit returned the fish alive. Richard is pictured with his Brill. Richard won a Flamer Iv catch of the day trophy to take home.
Gregg Rosamond and his father Graham had never caught Turbot out of Weymouth before, did prticularly well catching several with the majority being returned alive.
Mike Quirke from Cork landed his best Brill weighing 4Ib 4oz and is also not a Turbot virgin any more.
The Next Flatty Trips with places available are on July 20th and 23rd. DON'T MISS OUT.

Wed 14th june
Another nice day, plenty fish from all the wrecks and reefs we visited today,with the fish averaging
5-6lbs. Picked up around 60 mackrel which were put straight to good use with plenty ling
Upto 10lbs coming aboard, alan even had a double shot of double figure lings.
Ended up with over 80 cod and lings with cod to 9lbs and lings to 11lbs
Fishing continues to be good

Good amount of black bream, big dabs, whiting,codling,herring,mackerel,pouts,poor cod, dogs and huss today. Spaces available thursday friday and into next week where the forecast is looking healthy.

[This report was written when Size Matters was operating from Plymouth]
Just returned from our first Guernsey trip of the year, the lads wanted to fish the banks for three days targeting Turbot and Brill. Sadly after two days fishing the banks we only caught a hand full of Turbot and Brill to 5lb for our efforts.
I told the lads on the third day we need to go Wrecking because they all had a cool box each to fill with fillets before we got back to Plymouth. So the pressure was on, I had to pull all the stops out to save the three day trip from a total disaster. As we arrived at the first wreck I explained to the lads how to fish the wrecks using lures and try to avoid tangles. After the first few drifts the lads where into fish and they where performing like well oiled machines. Catching Ling to 21lb, Cod to 12lb, Pollack to 12lb and John Dory to 3lb. They managed to fill all there cool boxes with fillets!!!
I am not sure why the banks did not produce like they should do at this time of year, maybe it was the 7 days of bad weather we had before the trip.

Due to website problems i now have everything up and running again ! Schedule will be updated very soon ! Our first bream trip was a great success on 14th May, with over 250 bream caught on that day ! Most went back to save for another day ! Many other species were caught like a 14lb undulate ray, also 5 plaice which were all keepers. It was a great days fishing had by all !!!!

Yesterdays 8 hour trip went very well indeed with the lads getting amongst the bigger cod at last.
One of my favourite wrecks 16 miles East of Whitby fished quite well producing cod to 13lbs.
Nearly all the fish on board were taken on the shad, indicating now that the water is properly cleared out at last.
Chris Beaton who is originally from Cloughton in Scarborough but now lives in Australia is pictured with the best of the day at 13lbs.
Some room left next week on Wednesday and Thursday lads, so if you fancy a trip my number direct is 07733 233352. I will sail with just 3 anglers minimum. The forecast is looking very good indeed !!!
