Haven't done a catch report for a month or so as fishing has been rather slow. But after today's trip it looks like fishing has finally picked up with most of the lads managing to catch a good few fish a piece.
Best fish today was just under 10lb and in total the 8 lads managed to catch 50 fish in less than 6 hours.
Brilliant days fishing with the winds just picking up as we steamed home
We have a 8 hour trip tomorrow with currently 5 Spaces for anyone who wants to join us

Report on-board High Flyer 2
Bringing us up to date been hard work over the previous weeks having to contend with all the bad weather, storm Doris etc every time offshore planned to try for spurdogs the weather turns! Inside we have been plagued with whiting of all sizes good job really as the cod just havent turned up this year for us only the odd fish here and there, Remains to be seen in the coming weeks whether we will get a spring codling run all we can do is keep going and keep trying. I would like to say to all the anglers who keep coming not only supporting the High Flyer, every other charter vessel out there as we know its hard up and down the country at the moment ,we do appreciate it. Someones got to be first to catch them why not you? Looking ahead if we can get out offshore, wont be this mid week on the forcast possibly this weekend we have got 7 places this sat 4th March due to cancellation if anyone interested please get in touch. Until then leave it with you roll on the summer i say! Cheers Jon (High Flyer)

Fishing Report by Ross Parham
on Spot On! (Brixham, Devon)
Feb 2017 by Ross Parham
Report on-board Spot On!
February has yet again been another lost month due to the constant strong winds hitting the south west.
View Boats Page
With a break in the weather for a 4 day period we hit the mid channel wrecks in search of big Pollock, with every wreck we hit it was netted so on we moved again, yet again another net, boats coming up from Mevagissy to net Devon's wrecks and then local boats from Plymouth also netting makes life very difficult at time, only consolation was seeing a French trawler tow next to a wreck and then watch the dahn boys of the wreck nets disappear behind him.
We were not disheartened and soon Spot On was on the money once again with loads of Pollock hitting the deck with double figure fish every drift.
Some absolutely cracking fishing was had by all over the 4 days and as you can see from the recent pictures it was your truly who had a go when just 4 anglers on the boat and caught and I caught a whopper Pollock of
21lb 2oz.
Just 4 trips in February for 'Spot On' from Brixham in Devon. Lets hope March gives better weather.
Brixhams Summer Plaice competition is filling and spaces are limited so if you would like more details on this please get in touch.
Thanks to Mark from Top Rigs who came down for some fun and had a his fair share of fish, we will be trying his ling traces out very soon.
Also sidewinder Lures for tempting all the great fish we have caught to the net.
Spot On still has plenty of individual spaces available for day trips as well as Guernsey trips and Cornwall trips.

Fishing Report by Kevin McKie
on Size Matters (Craobh Haven, Argyll & Bute)

Report on-board Size Matters
The winter season is now over for Size Matters on the mighty Mersey and what a good season it was. Cod to 15lb 8oz, Thornback Ray to 13lb 5oz, Conger to 13lb and Whiting to 2lb 6oz. The best day we had on the Cod was 64 keepers, most days we had 30+ between October and February.
View Boats Page
The best day on the Rays was 56 (all returned alive) most days we had 25+ between October and early December.
This winter season was one of the warmest and most settled yet, we had one frost in November and only a few days of strong wind's.
Next winter season as well as fishing the Mersey on the neap tides, we are going to start fishing the spring tide's in places like the Queen's channel, Burbo bank and Liverpool bay. The tide is not as strong in these areas and spring tides fish much better, the only down side is the weather must be very good to do this. Our first charter back on the Mersey will be October 23rd to February 27th, already our weekend dates are filling fast.
Here is a full list of available weekend dates for the next winter season. Most charters are 9 to 10 hours, cost is £45 per person and this includes all tackle and hot drinks.

Report on-board Amatheia
Second day out for the Pollock over the wrecks, returning to the previous days wreck and and it was already being fished by a French commercial fishermen who looked to be doing rather well with the set up he was using, so I set the boat up as not to annoy the other fellar, as we were fihing on the French side of the Channel, we had a few nice Pollock come to the boat, with Trevor connecting to a nice plump double figured Ling, but things generally were a little slow so we move to another few wrecks which paid off to give use another good days wrecking with Matt boating a superb 19lb fish

Pollock was the order of the day with plenty of hard fighting fish coming to the boat, with all the anglers getting there share of the catch which was deserved due to the effort they all put in to make it an enjoyable day the best fish of 14.5lbs fell to Tony with plenty more in double figures
