    Hi
went out on predator II on saturday 13th August and we were delayed for an hour due to high winds but we got out there. The skipper Dominic kept us informed as we travelled from paisley onboard we met a great bunch of guys from Blackpool who kept the day going with some great patter we caught a great lot of different species today spurs, doggies, gurnard, cod, haddock, whiting, pollock mackeral. This was my first time in a while i've fished on open waters i have fished sea lochs and the clyde but this was the Irish sea a bit of a jolt to the system but i survived i only recently took up boat fishing again after years of trout bashing so i was looking for guidence which the skipper helped from the off looking forward to my next trip with Dominic in early september .the day produced 3 fine Spurdogs all taken on mackeral tipped feathers lots of decent haddock too on same,it was a species hunt dream today finishing off with some pollock bashing at the mouth of the harbour my mate caught and released a good one about 4lb mark good one Ian Hastie..once again thanks to skipper and the blackpool guys

    Report on-board High Flyer 2

Bringing us up to date been bashing the tope as you can see picture today of Barry regular on High Flyer with his first ever tope , went off like a train thought it was alot bigger due to fight put up. All tope returned unharmed with wire hooks that rust out in case of snapoffs conservation a big part now in tope fishing. The feathering producing thousands of sandeels which this particular tope was caught on, mackerel been patchy for us, few gurnards and weavers and odd flatty thrown in. The bass gone off the boil just the odd one or two at the moment plenty of smoothies still about even tiny little pups still. Best fish(tope) at the moment stands at 31lb fell to Karl Bird from lincs hopefully heavier ones lurking around time will tell keep eye on website and our facebook page under ( Jon Old High flyer ) or (High Flyer Sea Fishing Trips). will be trying up to the weekend for few more tope weather permitting so see what happens if you fancy your hand at catching one of these let me know will make few more trips up, until then tight lines everyone. Jon (High Flyer)

    Report on-board Duke IV

The Belgium fiching club are back in Ramsgate fishing aboard Duke IV, a slow start but after a move to a rough piece of ground Henriec landed a fine Bass of 9lb 12oz on a large mackerel fillet. Joule quickly followed this with a Starry Smoothound of 6lb 8oz, Luke landed a 6lb Bass and Derrick finished the day with a 7lb Hounds. A good start to the week's fishing with plenty of Doggies which are a delicacy back in Belgium so can't go wrong today. Pic shows today's catch

wind has been a major problem over the week and though nothing massive in size has been caught,we have been graced by some good sized tub gurnards(biggest 3.25lb) and plenty of other species with cod to 4lb,haddock to 2,5lb,pollack to 6lb,ballan wrasse to 1.5lb (in fact the police competion on tuesday saw 40 wrasse landed including 3 cuckoos!),some spurdog to 12.5lb and some jumbo mackerel to nearly 3lb!!
other species are doggies, whiting, coalfish, herring, sandeel, grey and red gurnard, dab and several ling to 4lb and a tiny solo smoothound.
fishing has been very varied but there are plenty of species on the rough ground and pollack are well established in the weeds on the headlands
