Headed out with Bob and Brian on board with more wind than we'd hoped for not sure if we would be able to fish the chosen mark but fortunately the sea was being kind to us. Things were slow for the first hour but then the fish started coming in with some nice hounds coming to the boat at slack water we moved a short distance to catch the start of the flood and within a short time the fish were biting again with Bob and Brian both landing pb's Brians @ 6.75lbs and Bob first with a 7.5lb fish and then on the last cast he topped it with an 11.5lbs female full of pups which smashed his rod but was duly returned this finished off a great days fishing on Lead Us ending up with 22 smoothounds up to 11.5lbs and all bar 2 over 4.5lb a day im sure they will both remember for a long while

Report on-board Vanishing Point-2
With the weather being so kind to us we have managed some long off-shore trips to have a go at Plaice fishing, which is almost unheard of off the Essex coast, but we have found them, the Bass, mackerel, launts and sand Eel's, all the what we needed to track down the elusive Plaice ...!!

We ran two trips out for Plaice, on Monday and Tuesday, both were good days, and everyone caught Plaice which was good..! and Mackerel was no trouble.
My good old mate Paul Nichols decided to put on a Mackerel strip, and promptly landed a nice 5 lbs Bass, so he was pleased ...
We are running several more trips out (weather depending) so If you want to have a go for these lovely flat fish just give me and Nicola a call..... 07768306646

Fishing Report by Simon Fisher
on Just Fishing (Brixham, Devon)
Jul 2016 by Simon Fisher
Report on-board Just Fishing
Fishing over the past week onboard "Just Fishing" of Brixham has been a real mixed bag.... Out on the Wrecks the action had slowed up a tad with the fish not playing ball despite plenty of sign on the sounder. We have managed Pollock and a few Cod but really has been hit and miss and frequent moves to various wrecks, hopefully things will start to pick up again.......

On the Banks fishing has slowly been improving with more Plaice being caught now and better sizes along with the odd Dab here and there and Brill. After months of struggling to get Mackerel they are now well and truly here again and in great numbers, almost being pests on the banks as they're taking baits intended for Flatties.

on Amatheia (Gosport, Hampshire)

Report on-board Amatheia
Well the mackerel are here, that is on some of the wrecks.

The day started hard with things being a little slow other than the mackerel coming in, in good numbers some for bait and some for John's bbq and the rest frozen down for another day.
Along with the the mackerel some nice sized pollock one of which was more than likely picked up by a shark in mid water which Danielle held onto until the bite off and to add to that, we believe we lost another pollock on a different wreck to a seal, who just before the take had shown itself by the boat which Ryan held on to until the line gave in against the fight. -
