The wrecks are still fishing well for Quality Cod and some cracking Pollock but we are travelling a fair way offshore.

Luckilly the Skate fishing inshore is electric at the moment, perfect if you prefer to fish rather than travel. Expect 10 or so on an average day and 25 plus is easilly possible. One of the local boats had 36 on Sunday. Frozen Herring as bait is the key.
Keep it tight,
Dave.

Fantastic day out plaice fishing on Emma Jayne ( a fantastic stable, fast moving platform ideal for angling) with Colin 'Scooby' Cooter this Saturday. We left Selsey at lunchtime for some mussel grounds near West Head. Drifting back and forth with the flood tide working large ragworm we had a great afternoon's sport catching good size plaice and a few dabs.

Report on-board Sea Urchin IIl
After Saturdays poor inshore fishing possibly due to the murky sea and swell combined Sundays trip had to be another long off shore wrecking haul but boy was it worth it for Brian Cope who beat his personal best with a marvelous Pollock of just over 15lb also I might add a Sea Urchin best ever Pollock

the boat was mainly full of novice anglers who also caught plenty of cod on the bait but the pollock were the main sport I think Brian landed four all over 10lb and one around 13lb I managed to land one just over 8lb in between untangling and re rigging the novice boys from Sheffield but a great day and well worth the trip out the festival looks to me like a pollock winner allthough we did see a double figure ling as well on the boat Sunday but my money is on the pollock in this years spring festival lets just hope the weather stays fineUPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD Sea Urchin IIl

What a lovely Day
View Boats Page
Wehad been blown off our first couple of bookings with Frank so were looking forward to a day out. Weather was said to be 3-4's and few showers but turned out to be a day of lovely sunshine and flay seas with absolutely no rain. We approached a site Frank said could produce somel lunkers but they would be few but good fish and Nikki our sole lady memebr currently started the ball rolling with a couple of lovely cos 8-10lb ish. We moved several times as Frank was more upset we were not catching enough fish than we were. we moved to a spot where all seven members hooked into Cod, seral 7-10lb's and 13lb and 15lb.
Frank and Guy work bloomin hard to get you on the fish and take a bit of advice from someone who fishes a greatdeal "listen to the skipper they know what they are talking about".
Skipper, look forward to sesion in August for the big bream and wrecks for cod ,pollack and congers and again in Oct for Bass etc
Great , Skipper, great Fishing, great weather this is the right order ofr a good day out
Tight lines

The Coddling are now here in numbers, all about the 3-5lb stamp. The odd larger one appears now and again, but its nice to see fish being caught after a long winter. Further out the Roker are now showing, with most boats having double numbers and improving with each trip.

Any one thinking of having a charter trip should think about booking quickly as with fish being caught, dates are now starting to go.
Lets hope the fishing stays improving and we have not only a good spring run but all so a productive summer sports fishing. -

Dougy, Julian and Steve on board today...good days fishing once we had moved to our second spot and the lads had cod to 5lb, Whiting to 1lb and Thornbacks to 7.5lb. the sun was out and the sea calm so added to make a great day out!

Some boats that ventured further offshore had some good cod to 17lb although these fish are not there in great numbers. There appear to be more smaller fish inshore and fewer, but better fish further off - so if you are considering booking a trip, this is worthwhile considering.
