Report on-board Obsession
The first shark trip of the year on Obsession out of Brixham yesterday Sunday 15 th July went really well rubby dubby over the side and we did not have to waight long the blue sharks soon came calling ,a total of 7 blue sharks were landed ranging from 60 lb to 120 lb all returned unharmed.We had a big blue attack the chum net hanging over the side what a whopper estimated at around 200 lb bigest blue i have ever seen in the English channel.All aboard enjoyed the day and we are looking forward to the next shark trip this Thursday. We have a few dates available weekdays and weekends for wrecking,plaice fishing on the Skerries bank out of Dartmouth and shark fishing, if you want to join in the fun give the obsession team a ring you wont be dissapointed Brixham the home of Biguns and Whoppers we look forward to seeing you soon.Tight lines from the Obsession team.

fishing still good some lovely cod and ling coming off the wrecks most in the 5-6lbs cods with a fair few double figures fish as well.
first time wreck fishing brian lintott . its always the beginners , hauls in this lovely 21.5lbs ling

[This report was written when Size Matters was operating from Plymouth]
Pollack’s, Pollack’s and more Pollack’s!!
But this wasn’t the case a few days ago, we steamed over 100 mile round trip for just 30 Pollack.
It was one of them days where nothing would work and as a skipper it’s hard going when you get a day like that.
At one time or another all skippers have bad days and if any skipper says they have never had a bad day then they are just kidding them self.
Thankfully we found where they where the next day, Ebb tide was the best and since then it’s been like shelling peas.
Best Pollack was 14lb and lots around the 7lb to 10lb mark, perfect eating size.
We have got a very interesting week starting tomorrow, a group of 5 anglers from the Wirral have booked the boat for 5 days.
The plan is to target every type of fishing on offer from Plymouth, they have definitely got the weather for it so watch this space.
I have a cancellation on Monday September 10th 1 place available 12 hour Wrecking trip £75.

My Way regular Jonathan Hudd was the winner on day one of our July competition generously sponsored by Pure Fishing UK Ltd. Jon’s total of 164 points was achieved with a number of species including hound, huss and numerous double figure spurdogs during yet another frenzied time in Holyhead Deep.

Lads down once again from the North East wanting a change from cod and ling, last year it was the hounds.
This year cuckoo wrasse and spurdogs.
Both species were obliging, especially the spurs. Countless double figure specimens many two at a time.

The RAF continued their impressive form yesterday for the final practise day before two days of competition that start today
