    Report on-board JFK TWO

    4th july
another lovely day red hot flat seas. stopped at peir ends to pick up some mackerel for bait. no problem picked up plenty in about 20minutes just to
be on the safe side. just as well, as they were very scare offshore. but we took loads later on again inshore,
round the wrecks with very little drift at first. picking fish up 2-3 fish a drift nice 5-6lbs cods and a few lings around 10 -11 lbs,
lad at back chris , rod bent right over says ive got one here, turned out to be two canny 5 and 6lbs cods on nice
steady away round the wrecks, next wreck chris says in again, i said ahh itll be 2 again man. rod bent double again
no it was one, a lovely 18.25lbs cod, belter, ah says are well thats the sweep taken care of. no says chris i didnt put my 2 quid in
never ah said. yep keith won the sweep by default with a 11bs ling bet he goes in sweep next time. [some people will never learn]
as the tide and wind picked up a little we headed into a little reef and gully we have, and bang plenty cod 2 at a time a lot returned
but plenty 3 and 4lbs fish with them as well, everybody happy

  • 30/06/2018 Fishing Report by Kevin Wyatt on Obsession (Mevagissey, Cornwall)

30 Jun 2018 by Kevin Wyatt

    Report on-board Obsession

After some routine maintenance and a bit of TLC OBSESSION BRIXHAM is now back in the water. The first trip back to Sea produced some fabulous Rod Bending action when we got in amongst the Bass, we boated 96 fish in total with a good average size . We were not very far out and the sea was absolutely bubbling with the Bass chasing their prey right up on the surface, fantastic to see. Every fish went immediately back into the briny as per the current legislation to fight another day.

We have various dates still available and can provide all types of angling including Wrecking for Pollock and Cod, Plaice, Turbot, Ray and Bream on some great inshore marks such as the Famous Skerries Bank, we also specialise in anchor fishing for Conger and Ling and of course Shark fishing for Blues, Porgies, Tope if you are lucky the odd Thresher.

Please remember we now cater for MID WEEK TRIPS as well as weekends so why not give us a call, either Lee 07599 516864 or Kev 07964 053347.

We look forward to seeing you soon so please get on the phone and give us a call for your space on the mighty " Obsession Brixham " the home of Biguns and Whoppers

  • 01/07/2018 Fishing Report by Philip Higgins on Mistress Linda / San Gina3 (Poole, Dorset)

1 Jul 2018 by Philip Higgins

    Report on-board Mistress Linda / San Gina3

    To all Anglers and Skippers
if you want to protect the right to fish for Bream within the Southbourne Rough, Poole Rocks and from Old Harry to Ringstead Bay areas (poss up to 6k from the shore) you need to respond to the DEFRA MCZ consultation paper, trying to fill the online version does not allow you enough space to voice your thoughts please send in letters before 20th July 2018 re socio economic looses to the areas and what it would mean to you to not fish these areas.
It all helps as the data presented is not accurate and no stock level assessments have been carried out so they have no point from which to start the Bream recovery or any idea to where it end, other areas are set to follow.
    thank you for your support
