    Report on-board Spot On!

Just finished an exhilarating 2 days fishing with MILNROW SAC.

Day 1 was spent fishing for blonde Ray's and Plaice.
A mixture of uptiding and downtiding for this and it wasn't long before the first bite and a cracking blonde ray of 26lb hit the net.
The action was soon fast and furious with upto 3 Ray's on at once and the size and quality of the fish was also very good.
A total of 24 blonde Ray's boated with 6 of them over the 20lb mark and only 4 under 10lb.
Anchor up and on the drift for the plaice, again some good action at times with the biggest plaice being 2lb 4oz.
Speicies caught on day 1 were blonde Ray, plaice, dogfish, tub gurnard, grey gurnard, red gurnard, whiting and mackerel.

Day 2 and the sun was out again and it was off to get some mackerel for bait for conger and Ling.
After a couple of hours we had enough bait and we steamed out to the choosen wreck, anchor down and baits set, first action was a nice ling and then the eels came to feed along with the Ling, biggest conger landed was a cracking eel of 53lb for Jim (not bad for a 20lb class rod and 30lb braid mainline).
Anchor up and on the drift. Pollock and cod coming to the net straight away and continued every drift until the steam home.
Conger to 53lb, Ling to 15lb, pollock to 15lb and cod to 5lb.
Species caught on day 2: conger, Ling, cod, pollock, pouting and mackerel.

A stunning 2 days weather wise and as you can see the fishing wasn't bad either!

Pictured is father and son Mark and Cameron holding a brace of blonde Ray's.

Still a few 2018 dates available and now taking bookings for 2019.

Spot On does what the name suggests, Brixhams premier charter boat and the only catamaran. Speed, space and stability.

A chance to test out the new deck lights yesterday evening and two family groups on board. First couple of hours was very slow then the Smoothounds decided to feed, plenty of squid and peeler onboard and the action started. Some nice hounds came up and three people broke their Smoothound virginity. Weather was nice if a ted chilly in the breeze. If you fancy a trip whole day or evening Jason on 07966273650 or Dawn on 07854772314.

  • 06/2018 Fishing Report by Rich Ward on Shy-Torque III (Whitby, North Yorkshire)

    Jun 2018 by Rich Ward

    Report on-board Shy-Torque III

Some very reasonable inshore fishing again this week working in the shallow water.

Yesterday we were hard ashore again, working the ground off Port Mulgrave in 60 ft where the lads picked away steadily until the weather turned against us around 2pm.

Fish were coming aboard on the bait and also fair and square on the shads too so the water is nice and clear again there at the moment. Sadly we are predicted a Northerly swell again which will colour the water on the inshore marks again for a few days.

With the summer competition starting on Saturday we will be working the wrecks again looking for the £5000.00 winner !!

Good luck to all those who are fishing with us in the competition again this year.

    Tight lines
    Rich

  • 19/06/2018 Fishing Report by Jonathan Law on Privateer (Rhyl, Denbighshire)

19 Jun 2018 by Jonathan Law

    Report on-board Privateer

I have only one place left on the Species hunt league, competition. Friday 13th July (2pm-10pm). If you are Interested, please message me and I will send all the details thanks.

In other news, the mackerel have now arrived in numbers, some truly huge ones not un common, closely followed by the Tope. The species numbers are building and I do know of Bream being caught plus other species of Interest, including a John Dory caught just west of us and a very rare Imperial Scaldfish caught by myself .... Dogfish numbers are really dropping and every thing else is really picking up, good signs

  • 20/06/2018 Fishing Report by Allan Skinner on JFK TWO (Tyne, Tyne and Wear)

20 Jun 2018 by Allan Skinner

    Report on-board JFK TWO

    20th june
fishing is still really good with a lot of fish on the hard ground and inshore wrecks, although the wind did keep us inshore there was still plenty of fish taken
mostly in the 2-4lbs mark and a few 5-6lbs, prawns and squid are essential. and today I would say the prawns outfished all others
the shads still took a lot of fish, but prawns were best bait, with mick and Johnathan taking around 30 fish each.
and as the wind eased teatime, davy took this lovely ling just over 17lbs
so the fishing is still looking really good

we have places available next week please ring for details 0780 8684358
