Report on-board Channel Warrior
Cod Pollock and ling are showing on the wrecks, the indication is looking like a good season ahead. The may water is slowing the inshore marks up but we are getting some inshore cod now but when the May water dies off this will improve

Fishing Report by Roger Eaton
on Blue Fin (Oban, Argyll & Bute)

Report on-board Blue Fin
That's us well into a new season now and there's been the usual mixed weather, but on the whole the fishing has been showing a lot of promise for the season ahead. The skate have been there in good numbers on the marks and the cold spring up till now should help to hold the skate in the deep water for a good while yet. Even the general fishing in Loch Etive has been reasonable considering it's still quit early on. A days fishing currently producing around six species.

This year see's us with a new toy on the boat in the shape of a state of the art echo sounder. This new unit is capable of down imaging, side scan sonar and taditional sounder with CHIRP. I'm still getting the hang of this new peice of kit as there are so many different modes of operation, but all in all it seems to gives a very clear picture of what's happening below the boat. Will it help us catch more fish ? I'll make no promises about that ! We will wait and see, time will tell.
I would also like to say a big thank you to all customers who have been out with us in the past and also those who have booked but are still yet to come out on Blue Fin. Judging by the feedback I get I must be doing something right !
Tight lines to all. -

This is the first good run of weather we have had this year, let's hope it continues all summer. With the weather improving all the time so has the fishing, best day this week we totalled 75 pollack to 12lb and 19 Ling to 16lb. This was a very good day to be fare, on an average day we are catching 40 to 50 pollack to 12lb, ling to 24lb, odd coalfish to 6lb, odd cod to 13lb and odd conger to 29lb on the drift.
Today we fished the reefs inshore, there was not much tide or wind so the fishing was a bit scratchy. We totally 35 pollack to 8lb, the inshore fishing will improve all the time now as the summer kicks in.
Here are a list of the next available dates,
May 19th
June 23rd,
July 3rd, 4th, 7th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 31st.
If you fancy a a day out give me a call.
Cheers

Fishing Report by TERRY BATT
on Vanishing Point-2 (Bradwell Marina, Essex)
14 May 2016 by TERRY BATT
Report on-board Vanishing Point-2
Had a cracking day out there today, and fish showing in the most unusual places, and we only found that out because the boys order 300 clays for their Clay shooting for to days trip, and we went to a stretch of water just for flat calm conditions so ended up in 12 feet of water and while the boy that had already shot waited for the others to finish they chucked a few rods over the side, and well....!!! boom..!! double figure fish one after the other I tell you after 30 years of fishing I still get surprises like that, they threw them all back as they had enough from earlier, but still a nice surprise...

Fishing Report by Jason Parrott
on Lady Ann (Ramsgate, Kent)
11 May 2016 by Jason Parrott
Report on-board Lady Ann
May 11th, day started very misty and murky but we set off anyway, we were fishing a sandy area with chalk patches. Not long before the usual dogfish started to show then a small smoothound. Bait was immediately changed to peeler or hermit and the action started, Simon landed one of about 5 lbds followed straight away by Steve landing a 9 lbd skate !! Action was steady with Connor boating a 7lbder followed shortly afterwards by Sir M. boating a 9lbder. Several other smaller fish followed and even the Skipper Jason got in on the act.
