Report on-board Supanova II
Wrecking is now in full swing when the weather allows us to get out. Plenty of nice hard fighting plump Pollack coming to the net with the odd early Ling which is a great sign of sport moving on through the coming months.

Report on-board Chinook 3
The fishing has improved with a big influx of skate, we caught 40 on tues from an offshore mark and i had a report from Lester on Seawatch who had similar numbers inshore yesterday, the cod are still up in the water but there are less herring around and we should soon start to see the cod back on the ground.

Fishing Report by Ian Dale

Report on-board Kelley's Hero Charters
February started with many failed attempts at getting out fishing, it was nice to finally get the chance to go and find those fish. When we got down to the marina first thing it was flat as a pancake which filled us with hope. Once we had de-iced the deck and scraped the windows, we were ready for the off……….
View Boats Page
We headed out of Langstone harbour and steamed for around about 2 hours when we finally reached our first wreck. Of course everybody was hopeful, they had all the gear set up, and they had had a cup of coffee on the way out, Now, the tide proved to be a little frustrating as when we first got to the wreck we were drifting at around 3.5 knots. The tide eventually died down, however we had to still hunt around for a wreck that was going to produce some fish. The anglers were still full of hope as we headed out another 10miles to see if we could find any clearer water. Once there, unfortunately we didn’t have any luck, so after 5 or more drifts we headed back in to see what some of the other wrecks produced. By time we got in the tide had slackened off. Now, at slack water you would normally get a pout at least try and attack and peck at your lures, but nope they were not playing either. Obviously everyone was starting to get frustrated, and just as we went to move again, “FISH ON” we heard someone shout. This should have been the start of some fishy action. Kevin had managed to catch an 11lb Pollock. The only good part of our day up until then was the fact that the weather had been kind to us for once and allowed us to get out so far.
Time was getting on and the fish were still deciding that they were not going to play. Decisions had to be made, what were we going to do?! We headed to our second last wreck, 4th drift in, “FISH ON”, no one expected to see an 18lb 7oz Pollock arrive on the surface. Now this also fell to Matt, who had his personal best pollock on the trip before, so he had beaten it once again. This pollock was the highlight of the day. Sadly we only had two fish on board, with a couple of takes missed. The only thing we can put this down to is the colour of the water, where the weather has been rubbish, the water hasn’t had any down time and time to clear.
We are hoping that this will clear very soon so we can get back out as soon as there is a weather window. As we say, every day is a school day, and a bad days fishing is always better than a good day at work. If you would like a trip with us whether it is wrecking or inshore fishing, please don’t be shy and give us an email or a call!

Fishing Report by DAN clarke
on FINS UP (Weymouth, Dorset)

Report on-board FINS UP
An early start for our first wrecking trip of the year. With the wind away and spring tides about to peak conditions couldn't have been more ideal. We had some regulars, along with a couple of nice guys that were fairly new to wreck fishing, But good anglers none the less.
View Boats Page
As we pushed on passed Portland bill the water clarity remained very coloured for miles, not ideal. However we pushed on. The first, second and third wreck only one fish. The decision was made to head back where we started out as there was a lot more fish activity around the wreck. I handed out some of our new crusader shads that were kindly donated by our sponsors sidewinder. As the tide eased the fish started to come with both the new crusader shad lures and the classic sidewinder Sand eels, bang on the money.
All together not a huge hall but we did manage a good couple of double figure fish.
Happy days aboard fins-up.
Let's hope the weather settles and water clarity clears up soon.UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD FINS UP

Report on-board Vanishing Point-2
Yesterday (9th Feb) the sun was shinning, and the wind had dropped to around 18 mph so we took a couple of people out on Vanishing Point-2 to try out the fully installed clay shooting equipment, shooting gallery and safety barrier.

I am glad to say that all went well and we are fully operational.
We do now have a 20 bore shotgun for our female clients which is considerably lighter that the 12 bore.
Here in the photos you can see various shots of yesterdays event, starting with a sequence of instructions from loading, to passing the gun, to controlled firing, and a few photos of myself just showinf off..!!!
Looks like we might actually get out at the weekend, and the wind is going round to the North so Clacton here we come...lol but seriously I have had quite a few phone calls asking me how the fishing is?? well the honest short answer is I don't know..! as like everyone else we have not been out for what seems like an eternity, so I guess we will find out on Saturday...!!!
But as always when the wind goes round to the north, it brings with it a very cold air stream.... Brrrrr..! so wrap up warm guys, and yes the wheelhouse will be kept to around 70 degrees all day so you will be able to get some rest bite from the cold if you need to.
Ok then ...... tight lines and Hot guns....!!! -
