Report on-board PLAN B
Had a great day on Saturday - weather was perfect .. flat calm seas and non stop fish. The whiting and dog fish were still a nuicance but no where near as many. And COD at last. We lost a good one early on- it was fighting well but sadly escaped. We had another fish lost on the surface a good skate, but then it was better news with a nice lot of cod and skate safely in the net.

Lets hope this is the start of a great cod season. -

The weather over this weekend was just fabulous for this time of year the sun was shinning and clear skies with flat seas an unusual combination this year
The fishing was slow but we still managed a good few mackeral for bait then off to the fishing grounds for the real fishing
We managed to catch fish through out the day with fish coming aboard from most places we tried all the lads ended up with ling or cod or both and every one had a great day
Her's rolley with what was the best cod of the day a nice 9lber

First trip for 2weeks been out of water for the yearly wash and scrub up,left at 6.00am to get on the mark for the last 2hrs of the ebb, fish from the start with a nice 7lb rooker plenty of yting followed with a few 1lb plus fish but a lot of small ones,a quick turn round on the tide and Paul was in to a 5lb cod then i latched on to another rooker about the same size we thought that this could be a good start but no more appeared a freind of ours was fishing just out side of us and he had one cod about the same size, its still a bit early but we are hoping this will be a good cod season, iam running a heaveist Cod compition with £100 first prize from 1st November 2012 through to May 31st 2013, all anglers that fish from Cleveland Princess will be able to enter fishing with one rod and a maximum of 2 hooks no baits bared rod must be nominated if useing more than one, cost to enter is £2.00 per person per trip, good luck and lets see some big doubles this coming season last seasons best went to Paul Hudson with a cracking 25.5lb cod that will take some beating,Brian/Paul

yesterday saw us filling the boat with some really nice fish, they seemed to be jumping aboard! yet today we had to work alot harder for the fish we landed. everyone landed a few fish for the table.
It was a slow day but it was well worth the effort steaming off as we were rewarded with an absolute cracking Cod of around 18lb for Warren Bets. he fished the best today, landing around 6 different spiecies himself, including Cod, Ling, Pouting, Whiting, Plaice and Herring.
pictured is Warren with his belting Cod -

Report on-board Emma Louise
Went out today to chase a few cod, knowing full well that we would only have a maximum of 3 hours on a cod mark, due to the strength of the tide today. Wasn't long before we found a bit of action, with half a dozen cod up to 10 lb. Not as big as last weeks fish, but not too bad under the circumstances. As predicted, the mark was left in our wake as we moved to new grounds in search of some plaice. We spent the rest of the ebb and part of the flood drifting, which bagged us in excess of 40 plaice and a few dabs.

All in all, an enjoyable day!
