After what can only be described as another week of mixed weather we managed to get out on friday 24th for a general fishing trip John and crew on from St Helens and Warrington.
Trip started with a wet ride out to the mark to drift for Mackeral mission accomplished plenty for bait then on to the nominated mark .
    species caught here included huss to 12lb,dogs ,whiting,dabs,2 thornback rays,tub gurnard,red gurnard,weever,mackeral,herring.
As the tide slackened the fishing dropped off a move was made to another mark near by looking for the fast moving tope we were not to be disapointed 9 fish in the boat the biggest falling to Jimmy a nice fish of 47lb .
Poor Adam got wet on the way out and was sick for most of the day but did manage a drop in with a tope bait and was rewarded with a nice fish of 25lb.
look forward to seeing you later in the year gents

    24.06.11
Todays trip was a group of lads from WIRRAL PARTNERSHIP HOMES.
We met at the marina at 6 am the forecast was for it to blow a touch in the morning and then drop of in the afternoon. We loaded the lads with there gear and gave them there safety brief on how to put there lifejackets on etc and how to use the toilet. We then departed on the WPH adventure. We had planned to tope fish first but when we got to our mark the wind was blowing a touch too strong to fish how we wanted , So a plan B was needed we then headed some 18 miles out to sea into deeper water. The skipper did reasure them that not to panic they would all catch fish today.we drifted a few marks which gave us Cod, ling, pollack, pouting gurnard e.t.c.
Then we anchored another mark and added thornback rays to 10lb.bullhuss to 14lb.
Gurnard 4lb 13 oz doggies etc giving a total species count today of 14 different types of fish. one of the lads lost a big eel early on in the day but thats there for another day overall a great day had by all

    Report on-board Flamer IV

JUNE 2011 - The wreck fishing has been consistant for cod and pollack with some good size fish being caught on lures with the best results on the rhubarb and custard sidewinders and the orange tazers on flying collar rigs. Double figure cod have featured and Paul Milkins is pictured with the 18Ib 8oz cod he landed.Pollack of 16Ib and 17Ib have been caught with Stephen Bishop form Bristol landing a 17 pounder. So far this year the ling have proved a bit elusive but 74 year old Alf Honour was successful and landed a ling weighing 21Ib on a squid bait.I am due to do some ling fishing on Sunday June 26th,so watch this space.

    Report on-board Lady Helen

21.6.11. Short trip, after the Thornback rays on the Pluckie bank in the river. 8 individuals booked, only one arrived on time (Daniel) rest arrived to late to go, so sailed with him only. Conditions a bit choppy with a 25 knot S.W wind. Fishing was slow to say the least, as we fished with large baits for the rays and doggies. The thornies didnt want to play out today so had to make do with the ever present L.S.D. P.S. can any one tell me when summer starts?

    Report on-board Supanova II

    Hi All,

The fishing continues to be great from Weymouth with yesterdays trip proving it!

A total of 17 species were landed including plaice to 6lb 12oz and bass to 9lb's.

Away from the species fishing the banks seem to be throwing up good numbers of Turbot still with a group last week managing to boat 20 over their 3 day trip with just 7 being kept for the table, very responsible angling indeed.

The mussel beds still throw up the odd plaice of a better stamp than in previous months. The bream have arrived off of portland along with the bass in ever increasing numbers.

The mid channel wrecking for the Cod and Pollack is still proving frantic with the quality of fish mind blowing!

The next month will see the Weymouth fleet begin to concentrate their efforts on the Bream and Bass more.

Thanks again to all for their continued support to the port!!

Fish of this month must go to Pete Avery for his 25lb Thresher shark landed on Turbot gear last week!

Well what can I say June started great and has now gone to pieces the weather has gone pear shaped again just when the Tope are really coming into their own showing up on some of the old marks from years ago.
On one trip Ken Dooley from Liverpool had a pb with one of 36lb and also had a pb smoothhound of 10 lb on the same trip check out the video on my face book under supreme sea services.
another group of lads from liverpool 6 in total 5 of which had never been boat fishing before managed to boat 11 tope to 35lb and we must have lost just as many at the boat due to their eagerness to try and bully them in.
just hope the tope are still about when this weather settles again

    Report on-board Bad Boyz VI

A weekend of mixed days fishing and with weather up and down all through the day its was a challenge at times to get to the best marks that have been fishing realy well.
Still a few Smooth-hounds showing at present and a few lager ones around.
The weekend has seen plenty of Dogies, Codling, Huss, Dabs, Poutin, Poorcod, Mackeral, Pollack, Wrasse and coalies with a few extras thrown in like small Congers, Plaice, Whitting and Rays.
With every trip seing more and more Codling and with a few around the 4-6lb mark the next year or so is looking up for the amount of Cod to come to the boat.
Best fish over the weekend went to a regular from Sheffield but not only becuase it was a nice Smoothie but purely becuase he landed it on a £4.99 kids telescopic spining rod with 10lb line in a screaming tide.
Out again through the week hopefully if the weather stays nice try get out for a few Tope :)
    Tight lines once again!
