    Report on-board Kerrykim

    Hi
We've finished for the winter now and I'd like to thank everybody who fished with us.
We had a good year with some excellent fish caught (check the photo's) but the Mackerel were a let down at first. If you are interested in a fishing trip next year please give me a bell on the landline.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
    Kindest Regards Pat Jones.

    Report on-board Galloper

as ever it has been a while since my last report on here (although I do weekly reports on my website and facebook page). As im sure you can see from other reports in this area the weather has been a pain for a while now. We have managed to get most trips out but not always to where we want to go. There have been so significant numbers of codling so far for us this season. We have seen one or two on occasions so they are present but not numerous. That doesn’t mean there aren’t fish to be caught though and there is certainly no shortage of whiting around along with numbers of dabs on the right tides. There are a few thorn-back rays here and there as well as the last of the dogfish if you are lucky enough to encounter one. As ever the blackwater estuary has saved a lot of days for us, even if we don’t fish the estuary its self we can often get out on a ‘maybe’ forecast safe in the knowledge we have the blackwater as a back up. There are times when fishing in there is better than further off and at the very least it seems to be wall to wall with whiting right now. I have plenty of room in the run up to Christmas and the new year for individuals and groups. so if you just want to get afloat then we should be able to keep the rod tips rattling and sit in relative comfort even on a breezy day. In the meantime thanks to all of our anglers for their support and please keep an eye on my website www.essexseafishing.co.uk

  • 02/12/2018 Fishing Report by Richard Carr on Northeastern (Sunderland, Tyne and Wear)

2 Dec 2018 by Richard Carr

    Report on-board Northeastern

Sailed today with the tide on the small side but plenty colour in the water. Steady start on the flood with the biggest around 5lb plenty sport on the smaller fish to 2lb which unless where gut hooked went back to fight another day. Little move over slack ready for the push in the ebb tide and Jeff managed a but lifter bite which resulted in a lovely cod just shy of 10lb. Was a little slow on ebb but we headed in really on prime time for state of tide. Never less 20 odd fish for the table and a couple nice stamp to end the day.

Spaces available next sat 8th and a couple for sun 9th. £35 pp and we only take max of 6 anglers so loads of space. Anyone unsure how to do this type of fishing or just want general advice just drop us a message we are happy to answer all questions. Top bait as always this time of year is cart and it really does make a difference

  • 26/11/2018 Fishing Report by Rich Ward on Shy-Torque III (Whitby, North Yorkshire)

26 Nov 2018 by Rich Ward

    Report on-board Shy-Torque III

Yesterday we had lads aboard from as far afield as Cambridge, Boston, Lincs, Leeds and Liverpool.

On a decreasing NE forecast we made our way out the ground marks on the 7 mile where we picked a handful of fish up. 3 of them falling to the shads and sidewinders and all 3 of them foul hooked! A couple of small codling and ling on the bait too.
A sign that the water wasn't that clear on the bottom after the recent fresh easterly winds . We pushed out a couple of miles further where the fishing picked up a bit.

The cod and ling were taking the lures fair and square there which was great to see. The baited rigs also taking fish as well. Hook Line & Sinker tackle shop supplying top quality bait as always.

A nice picking of cod around the 4 lb - 5 lb mark and ling to 7 lb.

The best fish of the day however going to Paul from Boston in Lincolnshire. A cracking cod of 15 lb 8 oz and a PB for him! Well done.

The windy weather is set in now for a few days but hopefully we will be back at it again next week where we have room each day from Monday providing the weather improves!!
As always individuals are very welcome and we will sail with just 3 anglers.

Paul from Boston is pictured inset.

    Cheers and tight lines
    Rich
