Report on-board Shy-Torque III
Marek Pracowity, who won last years Spring competition on the Shy-Torque joined us again today with his Polish mates.

Because the fishing offshore has been so much better than inshore of late, we decided to run off with Marek's team too.
Perfect conditions meant we could have a lovely cruise out at a steady 15 knots without being bounced around. Makes a nice change!!
As soon as we arrived on the grounds the lads were straight into fish with Codling and Ling coming aboard steady away. They continued to fish well, right to the "last drift" shout. The boys counting over 100 fish at the end of the day with the main of it being Codling. No big fish to report, but with the best bag going some 15 fish, no complaints at all.
A very enjoyable day for one and all including myself. Getting quite good with the Polish language now!!
The lads are pictured with a few of their fish.

With a fantastic forecast for the day we left chichester marina full of hope ,although this time of year can be slow inshore i was our first trip after refit .We headed out to fish marks near the nab the first one on the north side was a bit slow with a few small whiting but as the tide eased back we headed for a bit rough ground .there was only a short window of a couple of hours due to the 5 meter tides but the fishing was ok with conger, thornbacks ,spotty rays ,whiting ,dogs and pout to keep thing going .Not a record breaking trip but ok for early March -

Fishing Report by Gethyn Owen
on My Way 2 (Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey)
Feb 2016 by Gethyn Owen
Report on-board My Way 2
The end of 2015 and first 7 weeks of 2016 has seen wind after wind ravage our shores. Most of the UK has suffered with the relentless onslaught together with an unbelievable amount of rain. We cancelled far too many trips the back end of 2015, with storm force winds a seemingly daily occurance.
View Boats Page
I took My Way out of the water earlier than planned last season and took the time through the poor weather to get many jobs done, all in anticiaption of a great start to 2016. That didn't quite go to plan, with the first 4 weekends of bookings lost to the power of the wind.
However we managed to get afloat week last Weds, on a small 4hour trip with two families, all looking for their first taste of Anglesey fishing, albeit during February and amidst some awaful wind. Fortunately they brought some great weather and took to fishing with such a enthusiasm it was refreshing to see
Over the weekend 28th & 29th February we managed to grab two whole days afloat. The fishing was fairly good for the time of year and weather. Most rods returneed a fairly regular supply of dogfish, whiting and huss, mixed in with the odd strap conger, codling, pollack and coalfish.
On the Sunday the easterley wind had abated so after a fish filled isnhore few hours we managed to move off to some deeper water. The fishing wasnt hectic, with everyone trying big baits in the hope for some early spurdog action. We were rewarded with a couple spurs and some huss, together with the obligatory dogfish.
Fish numbers, I must admit to being fairly pleased with the quantity being returned, likewise on species, given the weather and time of year, it's not too bad a start. Looking forward now to bigger and better as the season gets into full swing.

Report on-board Spot On!
With the wind still not playing fair Spot On did manage to squeeze in 3 days of wrecking on the bounce at the beginning of march.

Those lads that braved the cold and chilly wind were rewarded with again some of the best action I have encountered on board Spot On, Pollock, Pollock and more Pollock coming every drift, with lots of prime double figure fish falling to a varied selection of Sidewinder lures.
When the wind allows we will be targeting the big Ling in the up and coming weeks as well as to continue the sport of the winter Pollock run.
Some anglers having a fantastic time using very light 30 gram spinning rods and 15lb braid to have the fight of there lives on board Spot On and I have to say I had a go and I am now 'hooked' on this light tackle fun.
Pictured is Bill and Steve from Sidmouth SAC & Brixham SAC with a couple of double figure prime Pollock they took on one drift together.
Thanks to your continued support of Spot On from Brixham and lets keep 'catching' and having fun!
Thanks to Sidewinder lures for there sponsorship and providing Spot On with simply the best lures on the market.
Remember only one catamaran in brixham and still the number one charter boat being the newest, fastest vessel around.

Fishing Report by Scott Belbin
on Galloper (Brightlingsea, Essex)
Feb 2016 by Scott Belbin
Report on-board Galloper
February wasn’t the easiest of months with a combination of poor weather and at times hit or miss fishing for us but things look to be on the up now. With regards to the weather I always look at it that if its rubbish one day we’ll get it back another day so with that in mind we must be due some good weather soon. With temperatures forecast to rise dramatically in the next few days this should help move things along a bit. we have been out once or twice a week and although the cod have been thin on the ground we have had a few good days on thorn-back rays. they have been a little hit and miss at times due to the cold weather but we have usually found some. The other day we had a good day despite less than perfect conditions. Thankfully we were able to take advantage of one of the many sheltered marks in our area to make things a little more comfortable. The day started off reasonable with a male ray of around 4-5lbs aboard on the second cast. We lost a better fish soon after but had a long wait before our next fish which was a small maid. With the tide running through nicely we should have been seeing more so we put a move in to our next mark. we spent the rest of our day here with rays coming out here and there for the rest of the day. most of the catch was made up of the smaller males although a couple of decent females came out. The biggest of which fell to Arthur and is the biggest so far this year at 17.1lbs. we also saw several whiting although mostly pin whiting as we’ve been seeing the last few weeks and we were overjoyed to catch two dogfish as well. We finished the day off with 23 rays and 7 happy anglers.

Over the coming weeks things should liven up a bit, hopefully the weather will warm up and I’m sure we’ll see a spring run of cod yet. There’s plenty of time for it to happen yet as the best of last years fishing wasn’t until Easter. Even with out the cod there’s plenty to be had with rays ect and hopefully I’ll get offshore to see what’s off there soon too.
Ive got spaces this month and next if your interested please call 07956411528 or visit www.essexseafishing.co.uk for more information, available dates and weekly news updates.UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD Galloper

The season has started !
Good catches of Thornback Rays in the sheltered waters of Milford Haven.
Plenty of decent sized Whiting coming to the boat.
Hopefully we will be getting offshore soon. There's plenty of big Pollock out there on the wrecks along with Cod and Coalies. On the banks the plaice and Turbot will be feeding up.
In the deeps there's plenty of Spurdog and Conger action. A few early Mackeral have showed up and the Tope won't be far behind them. The Porbeagles will be feeding up on the shoaling up pollock.
Exciting times ahead !
Come on down . . .
Dave.
