another canny day out with Ronnie into the ling yet again with ling to 13lbs. but the day was to be sonnys this time round. nailing a lovely ling
scrapping all the way never giving an inch at all and eventually up popped a corking 18.5lbs ling

Fished with Sam on Silver Spray on Saturday 3rd August. Every now and again you have one of those red-letter days, and this was certainly one of them. The day was meant to be a mix of bass fishing, with tope over the slack.
We had a few bass to live baits in the morning, and then the lures started to produce results. At slack water we tried for a bonus turbot or ray, but then the tide turned, and the bass really came on the feed. Every type of lure and every colour seemed to work! By the end of the day we all had our one "keeper" each, but the afternoon session never stopped. I would say we must have been close to 100 bass in total for the day. A nice days fishing on the Banks and Reefs produced some excellent Ray fishing with Undulate, Thornback, Small Eyed and Spotted Rays being caught, also there were Tope and plenty of Congers along with other species which were Red Gurnard,Scad,Mackerel,Pouting and Dogfish.

Oh my!!!! We found a large amount of bass while out on our cousin's birthday trip. Weather was perfect, company was excellent. The catches went something like this .... Smoothhound, then Bass then Smoothhound, then Bass, you get the picture. Have a look at our catches!! Stuart our skipper was very pleased with his bass of the day!

The Banks have been producing some good fishing for Turbot, Brill and Rays - with Blonde, Small Eyed, Undulate, Thornback and Spotted Rays all being caught.
The Reefs have also been producing some good fishing for Black Bream, Tope, Rays, Congers and Bull Huss. We also had our first "Shark Attack" of the year were we had a Porebeagle Shark on for 15 minutes which made some searing runs before the end tackle gave up, great fun to watch though.

Sunday 28th July 2019 windy little day with 6 to 8ft swells running through on the bank. Managed few buckets of mackerel some small bass thrown in for good measure. Drift fished due to the conditions then just before lunch headed in side to try our luck for skate. Unfortunately no luck there apart from a eel , small smoothies and whiting a chuck! Enjoyable day though many thanks to DXB Water and Crayford Abbs always a pleasure to see you. Well done Tony todays winner! Cheers jon (High Flyer)
