Report on-board Ocean Warrior 3
The weather has not been brilliant so far in 2013, but we are looking ahead and it is that time of year when we are going to start anchoring up for those big Conger Eels offshore.
View Boats Page
The water has been cold for the Conger lately, but hopefully now that wind is back in the south west, it will warm the sea back up for them.
We have got plenty of cuttlefish ready as we start the anchoring season. We still have dates available on the good anchor tides for those offshore wrecking trips - so get yourself booked in. I am very much looking forward to getting back out there for those big eels. -

Did get out with some local lads from Plymouth on Sat 6th April but water temp still very low and bait almost impossible to catch, we did finish the day with some med sized Ling and a few Pollack then weather closed in again for Sunday and the rest of week !Still dates available thru April and May for singles and F.B. Charters, should only be 8 or 9 wks till we have the first sign of a Shark or Two. -

Report on-board Amino
After however many weeks of RUBBISH weather, we finally got out today!!!!
View Boats Page
Although the fishing was still pretty poor with water temperatures still very low and plenty of Herring and Sprat showing on the fishfinder we found a couple of quality cod, the best being 8.5lb for Dickie (pictured) along with one for the skipper at a shade over 8lb plus a few Whiting but nothing to set the world alight unfortunately.
The next few weeks should see things start to improve and a few Thornbacks are now starting to show so the end of April and May should see a return to 'normal' spring fishing conditions and water quality/temperatures and a greater number of Cod feeding on the bottom, hopefully of the same stamp that we have seen so far this winter. -

The spring festival started on saturday the weather over the last month or so has been dreadfull the water has been murky due to the northeast winds plus the algie bloom has also kicked in it was very hard going saturday and sunday for all the boats in the competition but on sunday we managed 1st ,2nd and 3rd in the daily prizes plus we are now leading the festival.

The water should start to clear from now on with the winds coming round to a more southwesterly direction so fingers crossed some much bigger cod should start to show on bait and jellys.
The lads with the daily winners small but the bigger fish will come.UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD Sea Otter 2

Report on-board My Way 2
Glorious sunshine and flat calm seas today, nice end to the Easter period … sadly the fish failed to read my email!

A painfully slow start to the day, drifting around the coast to Trearddur Bay saw no fish for the first 90 mins. A move to anchor, then a further move finally saw a few doggies, with the odd codling and whiting break the surface of the water. Additionally we had a fair number of bull huss, sadly they were the smallest huss I had ever seen, the largest was smaller than a standard dogfish!
The deep was sadly hard work also. Dave managed to hook this beauty of a spurdog towards the end of our time, following on from Ian Thomo who hooked into the only other spur of the session, eevryone else catching just dogs.Fortunately for Ian, it was his first spur and a very a decent one at 14lb 6oz -
