    Report on-board Beowulf

February was not as bad as it could have been, with some good Ray fishing on the offshore banks.
March has started well, with Rays, and a lot of sport with Turbot and Brill. Some boats have caught some whoppers, but they have tended to be the odd one. we have done well with no's however, even if we have put nearly all back!
It has been a very cold start to the year and water temperatures are down as well as the non appearance of sand eels so far.
It will not be long before Bream start to move in though, and although the offshore wrecks can fish well, it's not been the weather to go that far.
NOW is the time for that lifetime best Turbot Brill or Plaice. Give me a ring, I still have a few spaces.

    Report on-board Ocean Warrior 3

We have had some good weather lately and we have managed to get out Pollack fishing.

Don Matthews had the biggest one this week at 17lb 3oz. It was caught drifting using a white shad lure over a deep water wreck.

We have been finding that the Pollack have been really high in the water, which has also been really clear.

If you fancy a day out Pollack fishing - check out the calendar for spaces available or call Dave on 07966 377145.

    March 2013

    Hi Everyone,
Thought I’d write a message after a lovely Mother’s day meal!
March has been an excellent month on Seabreeze3 so far with some fantastic Pollock being caught. Dave Robson’s son, Nathan landed the most impressive fish of the month so far a 22lb 8oz Pollock and one of 17lb 8oz! Excellent fish for a first timer, his Dad asked me to teach Nathan how to fish which I did, so either Nathan is a fast learner or it was beginners luck! I like to think it was my expert tuition! Closely followed this month by Oz with a 16lb 8oz Pollock and Steve Knocks with a 15lb 8oz Pollock. Followed by Adrian the ‘Crane’ man who caught a 15lb Pollock.
These are a selection of the larger fish that are being caught, have a look at my photo gallery for more pictures.
If anyone would like a day out onboard Seabreeze3 then please give me a call.

    Report on-board Seabreez3

Me and my father have been fishing numerous times with Terry onboard the Seabreeze 3, and to this day, we have continued to see a great service with excellent guidance and friendly crew! We start the day and head straight out to our fishing location where we are instantly set up and directed by Terry or his deckhand. The trips are lengthy and provide for plenty of time, and Terry's skill and experience allows for the best locations, ensuring that you will not be disappointed with the results! Every trip we have gone on has left us eager to return, and with numerous amounts of fish! Well done to the crew, and this is a great, well maintained boat that I certainly recommend to anybody who is after an action-packed day of fishing, beginner or not! We will certainly be going again soon! Very friendly service and a spectacular day all round!

  • 05/03/2013 Fishing Report by Mark Dolben on My Way 2 (Holyhead, Isle of Anglesey)

5 Mar 2013 by Mark Dolben

    Report on-board My Way 2

I've just spent two days aboard my way targeting spurdogs in the Holyhead deeps.
Ok the first day it just wasn't happening for me and at one point I was nicknamed the doggie king lol,
That's not to say it was only dogs that came to the boat, the other lads enjoying some superb action landing some cracking Spurs and Huss most well in to double figers.
Then it was a move in shore for a spot of general fishing in the afternoon and the boat was kept busy with ray's, Huss, polock, cod, whiteing, oh and plenty more dogs for me! I think it was because I stuck it out all day with big fish baits hopeing for a better fish and it just wasnt my day and the dogs were to quick, but that's fishing!
On the second day it was touch and go if we would make it out to the deeps, the wind had picked up a fair bit from the flat calm Sunny day before but in the end it was decided it would be safe enough as the wind was not forecast to get any stronger to make the trip.
This time we steamed out to a different mark up to the north, and it was on the way out that I remembered something Gethyn had noticed and commented the day before the two biggest spurs came on identical rigs and bait.
So I nipped in to the wheel house and Gethyn sorted me out with some of the rigs wich he ties himself and some advice on how best to set the hook and bait to use the end result was my first ever and new personal best spurdog a cracking fish well into double figers and the biggest fish of the day, I was absolutely made up and will remember the day for a long time to come, a big thank you to Gethyn for his advice and lesson learnt (again) Always listen to the skipper he KNOWS WHAT HE'S ON ABOUT!!
After that it was more of the same and a harty dinner of sausage black pudding and baked bean sandwiches (ooh there good!)
We steamed back in for some more general fishing in the afternoon, where we enjoyed another good mixed bag of fish.
So i would just like to say that I can't recommend a trip on My way enough great fishing good food a good bit of banter with the crew and a skipper that knows what he's on about.
I had a great couple of days and can't Waite till next time.
    tight lines Mark.
