Boat has been out of the water for a total refit.
She is now ready for the new season and will be relaunched next week. She has had a much needed new deck with removal of hatches giving more room. Plus lots of modifications that will make her much faster. New stainless rod holders on rails and a deck wash.
Bookings now being taken for the spring / summer 2013 - please note I have a new mobile number due to my old phone going into Leigh creak. 07788275110

With the forcast being very iffy today the only option today was the uptiding and iot was local man perry frankland which showed the lads just how to catch cod at ankhor perry had all baits known to man with him and it all paid off fishing wasnt easy and all the lads got fish but perry won the sweep and ended up with a nice bag of cod.
I had to pull out all the stops today for the lads but it all ended up well.

    Perry takes the sweep..

  • 03/2013 Fishing Report by Dave Elliott on Ocean Warrior 3 (Brighton, East Sussex)

    Mar 2013 by Dave Elliott

    Report on-board Ocean Warrior 3

We have managed to get some good fishing in this week. We went out to the deep water wrecks looking for those big Pollock. There was plenty of tide to make them feed and we are still finding them very high in the water on the fast retrieve on the gill, 40 to 50 turns up.

Neil did the best with 11 big Pollock to 15lb 12oz, along with Rich who had Pollock to 14lb 8oz. It was a very enjoyable day with plenty of Pollock for everyone to take home and a great days Pollock fishing.

We are looking forward to getting back out there for some bigger ones this week. If you fancy a crack at it give Dave a call on 07966 377145 as we still have some spaces available and the weather is looking good.

The odd thornback plus plenty of smoothhound and spurdogs available if you have crab, or squid catching the odd one or two. The Mackerel are starting to show up but very patchy, they should improve day by day.

I Had ian colemans party onboard today from grimsby.

A first time at whitby and the lad said they had had a dissapointing winter on the cod at grimsby,

They said they would be happy with just hand full of fish between the 5 of them ian had chartered the boat so the lads had plenty of room his wish for cod didint take long.

It was only just a few minuites after casting out that one of the rods was over bloody hell i cant believe it ian said the cod dont waste much time here .

The lads ended up having a really nice day the uptiding for cod at whitby keeps going due to the late winter storms and will continue into april if this weather continues.

Ian for grismby with just one of fish caught 300mtrs from the cliff back.

    Report on-board Mistress Linda / San Gina3

After a long cold spell the fishing is starting to come alive, the Pollack have appeared on the wrecks in good size and numbers but most of our time has been either Ray fishing on the smaller tides or Turbot fishing we have landed good fish up to 20lb so far and although several small ones have been put back for another day the numbers have been good, due to popular request I will be doing more mid week trips in March, if your up for Pollack, Rays or Turbot please call.
